All Purpose Coatings' flagship annual event drew over 200 applicators and industry professionals, unveiling a groundbreaking new product and raising the bar for trade events in the flooring sector.
The APC Experience 2026 (APCX) has concluded to widespread acclaim, cementing its reputation as the premier event on the Australian epoxy and coating applicator calendar. Held at All Purpose Coatings' Bundamba headquarters in Queensland, this year's event delivered on every promise: welcoming more than 200 attendees, debuting a landmark new product, and delivering an experience that resonated.
"We had many return customers that said it only gets better and better, and a collection of first-timers that said it was 100% worth the drive," said Event MC and Customer Relations Manager Jakob Jappe, who guided the day with characteristic precision and energy. A familiar and well-regarded face across the applicator community, Jakob kept proceedings tight, professional, and entertaining.
A Customer-First Vision Takes Centre Stage
National Sales & Training Manager Andrew Beaconsfield emerged as the standout of the event, delivering a welcoming address that set a clear and powerful tone for the day.
"This year, APC Experience is about you. Our customers," Beaconsfield told the audience. "The truth is, we don't succeed unless you succeed. Our growth reflects your hard work, your late nights, and your dedication to putting down the best floors in the business."
The address resonated strongly with attendees, reinforcing APC's positioning not merely as a supplier, but as a genuine partner invested in the success of every professional in its network.

Introducing Litho Flake®: APC's Pre-launch Announcement
The centrepiece of APC Experience 2026 was the announcement of Litho Flake®, a flagship addition to APC's elite flooring ecosystem, and one that is poised to redefine the high-end residential and commercial flooring market.
Engineered as a seamless, long-lasting alternative to traditional terrazzo, Litho Flake® delivers a consistent, stone-flecked aesthetic without the intensive maintenance requirements or prohibitive costs associated with poured stone. Six colour combinations were presented on the day, allowing guests to see, photograph, and interact with the product firsthand.
"Litho Flake® has been specifically engineered to give your clients that high-end premium look of a classic terrazzo floor but with the bulletproof durability and application speed you expect from APC systems," Beaconsfield explained.
Notably, the application method differs from APC's established Ultra Flake® and Hyper Flake® product lines, and Beaconsfield walked attendees through detailed technique guidance to ensure applicators are fully equipped from day one.
Samples are available in APC showrooms with a national product launch expected in the coming weeks.

New Tools and Technology on the Horizon
Beyond Litho Flake®, Beaconsfield offered attendees exclusive insight into several upcoming releases that signal a period of continued innovation at APC.
In the near future, APC is set to launch a T-Bar Applicator and Notched Squeegee, alongside new Marketing Materials featuring actual product in them described by Beaconsfield as "like nothing the industry has seen so far."
Looking further ahead, APC also announced the development of a brand-new Mobile App, built to equip applicators with a full suite of tools directly from their smartphones. An official launch announcement is pending the app's availability on iOS and Android.
Industry Experts Deliver Practical Value
APC Experience 2026 also provided significant educational value through a curated selection of expert guest appearances.
Aaron Zimpel was on hand to walk applicators through the APC Licensing Pathway and the support available for QBCC licensing in Queensland. This is a topic of considerable relevance to both new and established operators navigating regulatory requirements.
David Green of Independent EHS Services addressed an increasingly important area of workplace safety, offering expert guidance on mask fit testing, regulatory requirements, and premium respirator equipment. His presentation underscored the industry's growing commitment to applicator health and compliance.

The entertainment highlight of the guest program was a candid Q&A between Dan Fox of Epoxy Garage Australia and Andrew Beaconsfield, two recognised names in the Australian flooring industry. Their conversation traversed real-world experiences spanning training, business growth, and everything in between, drawing consistent laughter and engagement from the floor.
Resi Art Take Centre Stage with a Live Deep Cast Pour
One of the most captivating moments of the day came courtesy of Angie Kruger, Trade Sales Rep at Resi Art, APC’s sister company specialising in decorative resin products. Angie delivered a live demonstration pouring Deep Cast Resin onto a stunning timber piece set within a custom framework, transforming it into a one-of-a-kind console tabletop.
The crowd fell silent as the resin settled, watching the timber piece transform into something extraordinary right before their eyes. The demonstration was broadcast simultaneously to a live TikTok audience, extending the moment well beyond the walls of Bundamba HQ.

The Epoxy Olympics: A New Crowd Favourite Is Born
While the returning Spin The Wheel comp continued to delight, a brand-new addition to the APC Experience program stole the show: The Epoxy Olympics, hosted by Andrew Beaconsfield.
Two volunteers stepped up to compete through five hands-on stages: from filling a crack and fitting a roller through to rolling epoxy itself. First up was Jack from Parkers Flooring, an industry personality whose confident performance was met with equal parts support and good-natured heckling. His competitor, Crystal from CFI Group, quickly won over the crowd with her infectious enthusiasm and the revelation that she had never rolled epoxy before in her life.
The two competitors ran neck-and-neck through each stage, with strategic "ambushing" keeping the contest alive until the very end. Following a brief critique from Beaconsfield, the audience voted, and Crystal took home the gold.
"It's interesting to note that Crystal had never rolled epoxy in her life," Andrew reflected. "She was a trooper who thought she'd give it a go, and she did really well. Jack's an old hand at this and a brilliant installer, but the crowd really got behind Crystal when they realised this was her first time."
The Epoxy Olympics looks set to become a permanent fixture on the APC Experience program. Stay tuned for more!
